What to know before adopting
Guinea pigs can live up to 8 years old
Diet
They require 1 tablespoon of high quality pellets, 1 cup of fresh vegetables daily per guinea pig and unlimited access to hay such as rhodes, barley, oaten or timothy ( lucerne/alfalfa is only suitable for guinea pigs under the age of 6 months) and they must have access to water at all times.
Housing
They need an inclosure that is at least 120cm by 60cm and must not be wire flooring it also needs to be inside due to guinea pigs susceptibility to heat stroke. Guinea pigs are social animals and need to live in pairs or herds
